We want to give our heartfelt thanks to @cookiesslayer for being the first curator to share a track from our new release, 'Barren'.
'Barren' was only on Spotify for a couple of hours when this producer and playlister from Montpellier added it to his fantastic Spotify playlist. It means a lot to us that our previously unreleased track 'Mantis' is considered in such high regard, and it sits in good company within the playlist. It also says a lot about cookiesslayer's ability to recognise great music when they hear it!

Available below. https://erraproject.bandcamp.com/album/barren We want to give our heartfelt thanks to Yakov, a USA based electronic music curator, for adding our new track 'Pale Red Dot' to his 'Melodic Techno Showcase' playlist, available here.
As enthusiasts of the genre ourselves, we recognise the influence of trance music on melodic techno, infusing it with an uplifting, positive, and often mesmerising tone. The carefully selected songs in this playlist capture the heart of melodic techno. If you are want to hear the transcendent melodies or pulsating rhythms on offer from the latest melodic techno artists, this playlist is for you. You can expect sounds similar to artists such as Solomun, ARTBAT, or Tale of Us. Thank you to Phoenix FM - a prominent radio station based in London, for their generous support. Their decision to share our track 'Saugata' with the fine people of London fills us with immense appreciation, and we thank them for the air time. Our track opened the 'Rising Stars' show and for those eager to listen, the show is available here.
In addition to this exciting news, we also had the privilege to have Q&A format interview with Phoenix FM where we delved into the origins of our musical passion, explored our sources of inspirations, and reminisced about the early days of our creative endeavours. If you are curious to learn more, check it out here. Thank you Phoenix FM for taking an interest in our music and giving us a platform to share our story with the world. Check out our artist feature with Disrupt Weekly here where our current releases and overall approach to music production is discussed. This particular paragraph caught our eye.
"Erra P., short for Erra Project, embodies the collective musical experiences and aspirations of Coonan, a DJ with a keen ear for electronic beats, and O’Brien, a classically trained musician with a deep understanding of musical composition. This fusion of backgrounds and skills has enabled them to craft a sound that stands out in the overly-saturated landscape of sub-par electronic music." With every positive affirmation, we are further inspired to refine our skills and push our musical boundaries. Our mission is to create electronic music that resonates with people on a deeper level - music that is mature, meaningful, and soulful. Our ultimate goal is to spread joy and uplift audiences with the power of our sound. Thank you Disrupt Weekly for fuelling this mission. We can't express enough gratitude to every music curator, playlister, blog, radio, and website who shares our music. Your support brings us immeasurable joy. A sincere thanks to Streamefy for helping us fulfil our mission of spreading joy and happiness through electronic music across the globe. We're incredibly grateful for their inclusion of our music in their expertly curated Spotify playlist, which you can find here.
This morning, we were planning and listening to this playlist, and can confirm that it grooves hard. If you like your techno mature and deep (spoiler: we do) this playlist is truly a treasure trove. It is an honour to see our music alongside renowned like OddMob, Eli Brown, OMNOM, or Layton Giordani, it really makes us smile. Being considered on-par with such industry giants is not only humbling but also incredibly affirming for us as independent artists. The recognition of our music's quality, alongside the acknowledgment of our mixing and mastering skills, gives us a huge boost of confidence and motivation. Every time our music is shared is a win for us, and inspires us to continue creating music that resonates with listeners worldwide. It fuels our passion and drives us forward on our journey! We want to extend our warmest thanks to Last Day Deaf for giving us the opportunity share some of our story on their platform. The post can be found here and we hope you enjoy reading a little about us and our musical evolution!
Erra P. came into existence in back in 2016, but our roots dig deeper. Prior to the formation of the group, both members were already immersed in the music world. From DJing to playing guitar in bands, from fine-tuning our technical skills as live sound engineers to improving our production abilities as studio engineers; these experiences laid the foundation for Erra P. In this interview, we reminisce a little about those formative years which led us to where we are today. Again, thank you to Last Day Deaf for their tireless effort in championing independent music. Their unwavering support to music plays a very important role in shaping trends outside of the mainstream. We encourage you to check out their blog and the amazing artists they showcase, and thank you again for amplifying our voices. |
